This is a lapel pin advocating against Prohibition in the United States, which was ratified in 1919 as the 18th Amendment and took effect the following January. Some states had already passed different temperance laws prior to the nation-wide ban on liquor. The pin is shaped like a bell and reads REPEAL 18th AMENDMENT.
VINTAGE:Circa 1919-early 1930s.
SIZE:9/16" height and 9/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with red, white and blue enamel details.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
