ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1920s Seiberling Rubber Company lapel pin. Frank Seiberling, an Ohio native, founded the Goodyear Tire Company in 1898. After a post-war slow-down and reorganization of the company, Seiberling parted ways with Goodyear and started Seiberling Rubber Company in 1921. The blocky "S" logo at the center of the lapel pin has a slight resemblance to a swastika.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: About 3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin with saddle to attach it to the pinback.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an automobile-related collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. NAEX95 LFEX11/12 SFEX12/15

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin has some minor surface wear and tarnishing; pin-back appears to have been "crushed" but is still usable.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
