This is a circa 1920s "Spirit of St. Louis" pin. Charles Lindbergh flew the "Spirit of St. Louis" solo non-stop from New York to Paris in May 1927, becoming the first pilot to do so. The pin is shaped like the plane and reads RYAN NX211 on its tail wing (Ryan is the manufacturer and NX21 being the registration number).
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:About 1" in height and 2-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
