This is a 1960s Federal Aviation Administration safety award pin. The pin is by Josten's, and is shaped like the Spirit of St. Louis, the airplane Charles Lindbergh piloted in his historic transatlantic flight in May 1927.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 5/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Post with covered clutch-back catch.
