1960s Avon Calling Sales Award Door Knocker Lapel Pin

ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1960s sales award pin from Avon, an American cosmetics company. Avon got its start under the name California Perfume Company in 1886, and the company’s name changed to Avon in 1939. The pin is shaped like a door knocker, and the knocker does swivel.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 7/8” in height and 1/2” in width.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin on bar with drop-in swivel locking catch.
