This is a Vietnamese-made United States Navy 4th Light Attack Squadron patch. The patch shows a "Big Daddy" Ed Roth-style hot-rodding monster and reads VAL 4 - BLACK PONIES - VIETNAM. Roth was famous for his "Rat Fink" character.
VINTAGE:Circa Vietnam War.
SIZE:About 5" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton patch embroidered with multi-colored silk/cotton/polyester threads with muslin backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
