ARTIFACT: This is a Vietnamese-made United States Navy 4th Light Attack Squadron patch. The patch shows a "Big Daddy" Ed Roth-style hot-rodding monster and reads VAL 4 - BLACK PONIES - VIETNAM. Roth was famous for his "Rat Fink" character.

VINTAGE: Circa Vietnam War.

SIZE: About 5" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton patch embroidered with multi-colored silk/cotton/polyester threads with muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine&emdash;Excellent): Patch has brilliant colors and only slight wear on the front.
