Very Unusual CBI Chinese-Made Sand-Cast USAAF WWII Senior Pilot Wing

A very rare and unusual Chinese-made USAAF senior wing from sand casting. Despite relatively crude method of manufacturing, the resulting wing is beautifully detailed. Heavy and solid with nice vaulting. Senior pilot star was made at the same time through the same process but soldered on as a separate piece.

Circa WWII.

3" wide by 1.125" high.

Nickel-plated brass.

Horizontal pin with typical oversize CBI rollcatch and Chinese style wraparound hinge.
