ARTIFACT:

This is a very rare wing by Josten for the WASPs, or Women Air Force Service Pilots. The wing is in sterling silver has a diamond at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 13/16" in height by 2-11/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts with clutch-back catches.

MARKINGS:

JOSTEN STERLING on reverse of wing; STERLING and patent numbers on clutch-backs.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing has some areas of light wear and tarnish.
