ARTIFACT: This is a very rare early war Jeweler made gold AAF Flight Nurse wing by Balfour. This is a unique piece; a jeweler used a regular Balfour shirt-size Flight Surgeon wing, cut an "N" and gold-plated it then added that to the wing to make it a Flight Nurse wing.

VINTAGE: Circa early WWII.

SIZE: About 2" in width by 13/16" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold plated sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with a "come under" locking catch.

MARKINGS: BALFOUR STERLING.

CONDITION: 9 (Excellent - Near Mint): Very minor wear and tarnishing.
