This is a very rare WWII United States Army Air Forces Flight Nurse, CBI???made silver wing. The center features a caduceus, the traditional symbol of Hermes - a winged staff encircled by two snakes and the letter: "N".
VINTAGE:Circa WWII.
SIZE:Approximately 5/8" in height by 2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver.
ATTACHMENT:Two clutch-posts with backings.
MARKINGS:"PAT NO 11454857" on backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a Flight Nurse collection which we will be listing more of over the next months. VAEJX07, LFGEV08.
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine +) This wing shows moderate tarnishing but is in great shape otherwise.
