Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare and beautiful World War I United States Air Service pilot wing by Dreher & Son of Newark, New Jersey. The wing is in sterling silver with a gilt US at its center. The construction of the wing is quite flat.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 7/8" in height by 3-5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver, gilt sterling.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with Tiffany style catch.

MARKINGS:

DREHER & SON NEWARK NJ STERLING.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The wing shows small areas of light wear and medium tarnish.
