Description
This is a fabulous and very rare circa late 1930s or early World War II Hellenic (Greek) Air Force (HAF) full dress bullion pilot wing. In 1930 the Greek Army and Navy consolidated their aviation powers under one entity: the HAF. The Force became the Royal Hellenic Air Force (RHAF) between 1935 and 1973, and its small numbers stoically resisted an Italian invasion in 1940. The wing is very rare to be found in a pin-back configuration.
