ARTIFACT:
This is a stunning, fabulous and amazingly rare circa 1930s Ireland Air Corps full dress pilot wing in bullion. The wing has "FF" embroidered at its center for "Fianna Fil" (Warriors of Fl, or Warriors of Ireland). If only this wing could talk, I'm sure it would have a pleasant brogue!! The wing is in heathered green gabardine wool with bullion embroidery.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1930s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 4-7/8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gabardine wool embroidered with bullion and silk/cotton thread, muslin backing.
