Description
This is a very nice example of a circa early twentieth century Congolese battle axe. The blade hooks at an almost 90 degree angle out from oval ball at the top of the dark wood handle. The blade resembles a like a lobster claw, and is doubly serrated. One side of the blade only is fullered in a slight arc. The ball has very minimal decoration on it and some cross-hatching right below it.
