This is a variant patch for the United States Marine Corps Engineer battalions. The patch shows a white castle in a red diamond at center set against five stars. Usually the castle would be winged, but on this patch it stands alone.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:2-7/16" height and 1-15/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Blue cotton twill patch embroidered in multi-colored cotton/silk threads.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Marine Corps collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Patch purchased may either be this precise patch or one that is extremely similar. VAEX04 LAAEX 7/10
