ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Marine Corps shoulder patch for the 52nd Defense Battalion, the second combat unit in the Marines made up of solely African-American soldiers. The patch is crest-shaped and shows a banner with four stars and 52.

VINTAGE: World War II.

SIZE: 3-11/16" height and 2-7/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered patch in multi-colored cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a large collection of US Marine Corps patches which we will be listing more of over the next few months. M@XL95 LCDX 7/10

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-) This patch is in nice shape and has minimal wear along edges.
