ARTIFACT: This is a fantastic United States Naval Academy at Annapolis dance card for the 1912 Farewell Ball. The dance card is in brass and is in the form of the fore end of a Great White Fleet battleship. It was made by the George Fry Company of Philadelphia. Within are listed the names of the ball's dances and committee members, with blank pages opposite to write the names of "engagements". The front endpaper has a great textured decorative design.

VINTAGE: Circa 1912.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/8" in width and 2-5/16" in height (when closed); cord is about 22" in total length.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass, paper, cord.

ATTACHMENT: Three-ring binding, cord.

MARKINGS: GEO. FRY CO. PHILA. on reverse.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The card shows only minor wear and has not been used inside; some tiny spots of oxidation on the fron.
