Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II United States Army Air Forces Headquarters shoulder patch. The patch is in twill with a gold border and shows a winged star at center and is a variant, light color blue.

VINTAGE:

Circa WWII

SIZE:

Approximately 2 5/8" in height x 2 7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton twill embroidered in silk/cotton threads with gauze backing.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-RLB-VAX12/94 LFJX12/14 SEJX11/20

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): Patch shows moderate wear and adhesive remnants on reverse.
