USAAF 451st Bomb Squadron, 322nd Bomb Group, 8th and 9th Air Force Patch with Card

ARTIFACT: This is a patch for the United States 451st Bomber Squad, 32nd Bomber Group, 8th and 9th Air Force, and comes with a picture card. The patch shows a gorilla on a cloud dressed in a football uniform and goggles about to hurl a missile. The card shows the same design in fewer colors and reads 451st BOMB SQUADRON.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Patch is 5" in diameter and card measures 8-1/4" in height x 6-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brown leather patch with painted design.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto flight clothing.
