US Army 420th AFA Battalion Theatre-Made DI for 10th Armored Division

This is a theatre-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 420th Armored Field Artillery Battalion 10th Armored Division. This insignia shows a crest with a shield and reads FIDES ET LIBERTAS (faith and liberty), the battalion"s motto.

Circa World War II.

1-3/8" height and 1-1/8" width.

Gold-plated brass with red and black enamel.

Vertical safety-style pin.
