ARTIFACT: This is a theatre-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 420th Armored Field Artillery Battalion 10th Armored Division. This insignia shows a crest with a shield and reads FIDES ET LIBERTAS (faith and liberty), the battalion"s motto.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 1-3/8" height and 1-1/8" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with red and black enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This item has been rated a level III rarity by ASMIC (the American Society of Military Insignia Collectors). This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAJL01 LAGEX4/10 SAEJX9/10
