US Army 2nd Infantry Battalion DI by Sherman<p> NO LONGER AVAILABLE

This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 2nd Infantry Battalion by Sherman. The DI is a crest with a Viking ship to denote time served in Iceland, and a horizontal ranger knife both above and below the ship.

Circa 1950s.

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Two posts.

The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition.

7- (Very Fine-): The DI has some small divots in the enamel, some light to medium rusting on the reverse, and the pins are slightly bent.
