Description
This is a 1950s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 278th Armored Infantry Battalion by Vanguard. The DI shows three blue stars with a chevron breaking through the line, meant to represent the 278th breaking of the Hindenburg Line at during World War I. The DI reads FUSTEST WITH THE MOSTEST.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:VANGUARD IV NY.
