Description
This is a well-preserved WWII jacket patch for the 491st Bombardment Squadron, 341st Bombardment Group. This group was unattached to an Air Force but served in he CBI and flew B-25 aircrafts. The patch is CBI-made and has an unusual construction I have never seen before. It shows a giant horseshoe over the globe.
VINTAGE:WW II.
SIZE:About 5" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Embroidery thread on brown and white wool felt and cotton, all on a canvas support.
ATTACHMENT:To be attached to garment.
