Unofficial Winged Squadron Badge Worn by Members of the USAAF 463rd Service Squadron

This is the unofficial winged squadron badge worn by members of the United States Army Air Forces 463rd Service Squadron. It features a large "e;9"e; between two wings for the 9th Air Force. The center medallion is enamel with a monkey carrying an oiler and machine gun in his hands and a wrench with his tail. This was the unit insignia of the 463rd Service Squadron.

Circa World War II.

About 3" wide by 1" high.

Plated brass with enamel center.

Long horizontal pin with simple C-catch.
