Description
This is the unofficial winged squadron badge worn by members of the United States Army Air Forces 463rd Service Squadron. It features a large "e;9"e; between two wings for the 9th Air Force. The center medallion is enamel with a monkey carrying an oiler and machine gun in his hands and a wrench with his tail. This was the unit insignia of the 463rd Service Squadron.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 3" wide by 1" high.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel center.
ATTACHMENT:Long horizontal pin with simple C-catch.
