Only example I've seen made this way! This is a unique World War II United States Army Air Forces shoulder patch made in the CBI Theatre. This patch was made in China from a denim-like cotton twill embroidered in silk. It was originally owned by 20th Air Force veteran Earl Hoffsis of Wood County, Ohio. Hoffsis enlisted in the Army March 1, 1943 at Camp Perry Lacarne. Please see the link at the bottom of this page for information on other WWII patches originally belonging to Hoffsis (for sale separately).
Circa World War II.
Approximately 2-15/16" in height and 2-7/18" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Denim-like cotton embroidered in silk, burlap backing.
This is from a WWII USAAF shoulder patch collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEM14 LHEX4/14
8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch has some light wear only.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
