ARTIFACT:
Only example I've seen made this way! This is a unique World War II United States Army Air Forces shoulder patch made in the CBI Theatre. This patch was made in China from a denim-like cotton twill embroidered in silk. It was originally owned by 20th Air Force veteran Earl Hoffsis of Wood County, Ohio. Hoffsis enlisted in the Army March 1, 1943 at Camp Perry Lacarne. Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-15/16" in height and 2-7/18" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Denim-like cotton embroidered in silk, burlap backing.
