Super Rare World War II NATS Flight Orderly (Male Flight Nurse) Wing/Badge Grouping

Description
This is a rare grouping belonging to a World War II United States Naval Air Transport Service male flight orderly stationed in Alameda, California. The grouping includes the Flight Orderly Badge, a Photo ID Badge and a miniature USN Air Crew Wing. The main badge reads NAVAL AIR TRANSPORT SERVICE FLIGHT ORDERLY and shows a US Navy Pilot Wing superimposed over the Pacific Ocean. The Photo ID Badge reads U.S. NAVAL AIR STATION ALAMEDA and contains a photo of the orderly. The wing reads AIR CREW and shows an anchor flanked by wings.
VINTAGE:Circa WWII.
SIZE:2-1/16" diameter on pin, 2" diameter on photo ID Badge, and 1-1/8" length on miniature Crew wing.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:The wing is sterling silver; the badges are nickel-plated and chrome-plated brass, one with painted areas, the other with celluloid over a photograph.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking catch on both badges, and a horizontal pin of the same type on the wing.
MARKINGS:WHITEHEAD-HOAG is on the reverse of the photo ID badge; PAT 2066969 on reverse on NATS Badge; STERLING in reverse of miniature Crew wing.
