Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a stunning and very rare fully hand-embroidered jacket patch for the United States Army Air Force 1st Air Transport Squadron (Mobile). The patch was made in India and shows a skull and crossbones bearing the letters AMS.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-5/8" in height and 4-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads with muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT:

None.

None.
