This is a stunning circa 1900 agent badge for the Chicago Department of Health. The badge has a beautiful luster and a lovely enameled red cross at its center. The badge is numbered 101 above a small Seal of the City of Chicago near the top.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-9/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with tongue-style catch.
MARKINGS:101 on front.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent-): The badge has some small areas of light wear and all enamel is intact. One very minor spot of oxidation on reverse only.
