This is a stunning circa 1870s or 1880s "OLD WEST" stock constable shield badge. The badge has a J.H. Fleharty & Company of Cincinnati, Ohio maker mark and a T-style pin. The CONSTABLE is oriented at a 45 angle with great decorative embellishments on either side.
VINTAGE:Circa 1870s-1880s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical T-style pin, C catch.
MARKINGS:J.H. FLEHARTY & CO. ENGRAVERS CLEVELAND O.
