Description
This is a World War II Polaris Flight Academy named graduate presentation bracelet by Entenmann. Polaris Flight Academy set up shop in 1941 at War Eagle Field in the Mojave Desert, initially training cadets of the Royal and Royal Canadian Air Forces. Polaris widened its clientele to include the United States Army Air Forces after the Pearl Harbor attacks. The bracelet is in a chain style and has an oval lozenge with a blue, red and white bull's-eye upon a plane's propeller. The reverse of the bracelet reads R.B. GAVER.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7-15/16" in length and 3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, plated brass, painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Locking bracelet catch, chain.
MARKINGS:R.B. GAVER ENTENMANN STERLING.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The bracelet shows some small areas of light wear and tarnish; some small bits of the painted areas have worn away.
