This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 167th Infantry Regiment in sterling silver. The DI shows a rainbow with five fleur-de-lis arcing over a wall and a red cross. The DI reads SIGNA INFEREMUS (We shall drive forward).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING; STER. with pat. pend number on pin.
