Description
This is a sterling silver distinctive insignia for the United States Army 414th Infantry Regiment. This regiment is also known as the "Night Fighters" because of their nighttime strategy training in World War II. The insignia shows a crest bearing three peaks and a wave.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 1-1/8" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated sterling silver with red, white and blue enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
