This is a sterling silver sweetheart wing from the Royal Flying Corps, the over-land air arm of the British military during World War I. The pin shows the RFC insignia wreathed by laurel leaves and flanked by spread wings with a crown atop.
VINTAGE:Circa WWI.
SIZE:2-1/8" wing.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with blue enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in swivel catch.
MARKINGS:RYRIE STERLING on reverse.
