Description
This is a late 1940s lapel pin in sterling silver for Pacific Northern Airlines. The pin shows a blue flag with a constellation on it flying above a rather Art Deco-ish silver wing. The airlines was started as Woodley Airways in 1933, but used the name Pacific Northern from 1945 until 1967, when it merged with Western Airlines.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940's.
SIZE:1/2" in height x 11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:ROBBINS CO. STERLING.
