This is a numbered New York State National Guard ambulance driver's cap badge in sterling silver. The badge reads PROMPT AID TO THE INJURED N.G.S.N.Y. and shows a red cross at center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:1-1/4" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal T-style pin with "C" catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING BLACK STARR & FROST N.Y. 469.
