This is a distinctive insignia in sterling silver by Meyer for the United States Army 78th Field Artillery Regiment. The DI is a black and red crest with a number 13 in a sun and silver flecks. The crest reads SEMEL ET SIMUL (once and together) and there is a star labeled 78 at its top.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II era.
SIZE:1-1/4" height and 7/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under swivel locking catch.
MARKINGS:Meyer maker's mark and STERLING.
