This is a distinctive insignia in sterling silver for the United States Army 15th Evacuation Hospital. The DI is a cross bearing a wonderfully detailed tree and reads EVACUARE (to evacuate).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II era.
SIZE:1-3/16" height and 15/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:STERLING.
