Simple Hand Stamped 1880s - 1890s "Stock" Oval Police Badge from New England

This is a simple, 1880's - 1890's "Stock" Police Oval Badge that was most likely used in New England. The design of this nickel plated brass badge is very minimal, just being an oval with the word "POLICE" hand stamped across it.

Circa 1880's - 1890's.

Approximately 2-1/2" in length x 1-1/2" in height.

Nickel Plated Brass.

Horizontal one-piece pin with open catch.
