ARTIFACT:

This is a wonderful 1890's "Stock" Oval Police Badge. The size shows that it was most likely worn on the civilian coat lapel in a small New England Town.

VINTAGE:

Ca. 1890's

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/4" x 1-5/8"

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel Plated Brass

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal one piece safety type pin with over-under catch and small rectangular reinforcement.

MARKINGS:

"POLICE."
