ARTIFACT: Scarce WWII United States Navy "Officer's" PT Boat badge (unofficial) in gilt nickel (or possibly unmarked silver) by the ELCO Company. The badge is in the shape of a PT Boat and reads: "PT" on the bow. The reverse reads: "ELCO", "DESIGN COPYRIGHTED © ELCO NAVAL DIVISION"

VINTAGE: Circa 1943.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/16" in length x a hair over 1/2" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold plated Silver or Nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come under locking catch.

MARKINGS: "ELCO" "DESIGN COPYRIGHTED © ELCO NAVAL DIVISION"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJX16 LBGEX10/16 SLCDEX12/21/21

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine - Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, small nick where the boat "took a shot across the bow", much of the plating details remain, overall excellent condition.
