ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful World War II US Navy PT boat officer badge. This is an unofficial badge made by ELCO, or the Electric Launch Company. During World War II, Elco formed the Elco Naval Division in Bayonne, New Jersey, where nearly 400 Elco PT boats were produced for the U.S. Navy.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Appr: 1/2" x 2-1/2"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold Filled Sterling Silver

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with locking over-under swivel catch.

MARKINGS: "PT. ELCO. STERLING. COPYRIGHT ELCO NAVAL DIVISION."

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAAJX17 LBGEX7/17

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): There is only light wear on the obverse and some tarnish on the reverse.
