ARTIFACT: Scarce WWII United States Army Air Forces Aviation Engineers US-made jacket patch Aviation Engineers were tasked with building and defend air bases. The embroidered patch depicts a soldier riding a winged tank against a background of blue and a gray/silver outer ring that reads: "AVIATION ENGINEERS" in red detail.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3-5/8" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered twill, cotton/polyester thread

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAX16 LABEX12/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The patch shows minor wear, the reverse shows scrapbook remnants, colors remain bright, overall very fine condition.
