Description
Scarce early WWII printed United States Army Kiska Task Force shoulder patch. This is the more oft-encountered version with the curved guard and large spacers on the handle. Some members of the task force were also associated with the First Special Service Forces. Kiska is an Aleutian island that the Allied Forces "invaded" in 1943 but the outcome was rather anticlimactic as the Japanese had already deserted the island upon the troops' arrival. The patch is printed on soft cotton cloth material and shows a downward stabbing dagger.
