Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a scarce style of United States Navy Construction Battalion (Seabees) badge from World War II. The badge is in gilt and enameled sterling silver. At the badge's center is a busy sterling bee, raised up in relief from the field of blue enamel.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

GREENDUCK CO. CHICAGO (partly worn away), STERLING, union marks.
