ARTIFACT: This is a scarce sterling silver distinctive insignia by Blackinton for the United States Army 65th Medical Regiment. This insignia shows a hand pulling a spear from a man's thigh and reads DA DEXTRAM MISERO (Give Aid to the Unfortunate). The red enamel background has a wonderful swirl pattern in it.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 1-1/8" height and 1" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver with red enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING V.H. BLACKINTON CO.
