Description
Scarce, NUMBERED, WWII Legion of Merit Legionnaire Medal in original case with lapel stud and ribbon. Only clue to original owner is 10th Infantry Regiment DI that was in the case with the medal. Gilt sterling planchet numbered, wrap brooch. The Legion of Merit is seventh in the order of precedence of U.S. Military awards and is worn after the Defense Superior Service Medal and before the Distinguished Flying Cross.
