Description
This is a scarce circa mid-1930s Romanian military academy cadet belt buckle. The border of this handsome buckle reads Pregatirea Premilitara (Premilitary Training). It also shows an eagle in relief beneath the back-to-back double "C" cypher of King Carol II. He ruled Romania from 1930 until 1940, when he went into exile in Mexico, and later, Portugal.
VINTAGE:Circa mid-1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2" in height and 2-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Copper-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Rectangular loop, prong.
