Scarce late WWII United States Army Air Forces 14th Air Force patch type distinctive insignia. This example is the usual convex variation showing a tiger in the center of a blue enameled disc, above the tiger, a white five pointed star displays a red center.
VINTAGE:Circa late WWII
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in diameter
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Enameled brass
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop in swivel locking catch.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The DI shows moderate to heavy wear, much of the enamel and gilt details remain intact.
