Description

ARTIFACT:

Scarce, early WWII UK No. 9 Commando Shoulder Arc. No. 9 saw action during Operation Torch in North Africa and on D-Day, as well as many other battles. Arc reads "No 9 COMMANDO" and is embroidered in white thread on wool felt, patch was worn and removed from uniform.

Circa WWII

SIZE:

Approximately 4" x 3/4".

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Embroidered wool felt with cotton/silk thread, treated backing.
