Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a scarce circa early World War II Royal Air Force (RAF) radio observer wing. The wing is padded for service dress and the wreath beneath the "RO" is in golden brown embroidery.

VINTAGE:

Circa early World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 3" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool embroidered in silk/cotton threads, padding, muslin backing.

None.

None.

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows very little wear and a very minor stain on the reverse only.
